    360 KB: Ethnographic Video Online (Japan, North Korea, South Korea, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Taiwan), Music Online: Contemporary World Music (Japan) and Music Online from Alexander Street Press: Database Migration -- effective May 2019

    What is happening to the database Ethnographic Video Online (Japan, North Korea, South Korea, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Taiwan)

     

    The database Ethnographic Video Online (Japan, North Korea, South Korea, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Taiwan) from the provider Alexander Street Press is no longer available.

    In order to maintain accurate and authoritative provider metadata (based on the Knowledgebase collection policy), all titles will be removed from Ethnographic Video Online (Japan, North Korea, South Korea, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Taiwan) database in the Knowledgebase on 05/25/2019. The database will become a zero-titles database. (NOTE: The database code for this database is SM7)

    The provider Alexander Street Press has advised that clients subscribed to the database Ethnographic Video Online (Japan, North Korea, South Korea, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Taiwan) should re-subscribe to the database Ethnographic Video Online: Volume 1 (Outside North America) Database code A-0

    This change will take effect on 05/25/2019:

    • Before 05/25/2019: Ethnographic Video Online (Japan, North Korea, South Korea, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Taiwan)
    • After 05/25/2019: re-subscribe to Ethnographic Video Online: Volume 1 (Outside North America), database code A-0

    What is happening to the database Music Online: Contemporary World Music (Japan)

     

    The database Music Online: Contemporary World Music (Japan) from the provider Alexander Street Press is no longer available.

    In order to maintain accurate and authoritative provider metadata (based on the Knowledgebase collection policy), all titles will be removed from Music Online: Contemporary World Music (Japan) database in the Knowledgebase on 05/25/2019. The database will become a zero-titles database. (NOTE: The database code for this database is SM6.)

    The provider Alexander Street Press has advised that clients subscribed to the database Music Online: Contemporary World Music (Japan) should re-subscribe to the database Music Online: Contemporary World Music (Outside North America) Database code AIWPT  

    This change will take effect on 05/25/2019:

    What is happening to the database Music Online

    The database Music Online from the provider Alexander Street Press is no longer available as represented in the KnowledgeBase or Summon. Music Online represented a number of fixed Music and Dance Online collections from Alexander Street Press. Music Online is an old collection that has since changed, the underlying collections have also changed. Alexander Street Press have a number of different "Music and Dance Online" collections which are newer than "Music Online". Note that the individual collections are all listed in the KnoweldgeBase.

    The rights mapping for continued Summon content will be removed for Music Online, database code VMV, Alexander Street Press have advised clients should re-subscribe to the individual collections they have access to. Please contact your Alexander Street Press Account Manager or Customer Support for further details for which individual Music and Dance Online collections you have access to and should subscribe to in the KnowledgeBase.


    This change will take effect on 05/25/2019:

    • Before 05/25/2019: Music Online
    • After 05/25/2019 : Please subscribe to individual "Music and Dance Online" collections. Contact Alexander Street Press for further details.

     

     

     

     

    Action you need to take:

    • Update the holdings in your Intota or Client Center profile by subscribing to the new database instead of the old database.  For information on how to update your profile, and considerations prior to removing the old database from your profile:
      • Intota users click here.
      • Client Center users click here.
    • If you are a 360 MARC Updates client and have requested the custom specification that adds direct URLs or database specific information to MARC records, you can expect to see some change records when you get your MARC records after [effective date].
