360 KB: EBSCOhost databases from EBSCOhost: Publication Type and Identifiers Change -- December 2021

What is happening to some EBSCOhost databases?

Some of the EBSCO databases are enhanced with identifiers from other files during the ingestion process into the Knowledgebase. However, if EBSCO KBART title list indicates publication type "Serial," the monograph identifier (ISBN) would be removed. This means you might notice some changes to the title type from monograph to serial or vice versa. Also, some identifiers would be removed due to this conflict. The publication type in the knowledgebase will match the provider KBART file.

This change will take effect beginning on December 2021 as EBSCO databases are updated with provider KBART files.

Actions you may need to take:

    • If you are a 360 Resource Manager, 360 Counter, or Intota client, you may need to make some changes before December 8, 2021
      • Intota users click here.
      • Client Center users click here.
    • If you are a 360 MARC Updates client, you can expect to see new or delete records when you get your MARC records after December 8, 2021.
