This will affect the following databases:

• Literature Online (LION), Database Code CLO
• Literature Online (LION) - International Clients, Database Code CLF

If you want to track information associated with the legacy LION we have created a zero titles database for you to do so.  This database is hidden in the client center.

Action you need to take:

• Once the above change takes effect, update your Data Management by subscribing to the new database instead of the old database. Information is available here regarding how to update Data Management, and 360 Resource Manager and 360 Counter considerations prior to removing the old database from your profile.
• If you are a 360 MARC Updates client and have requested the custom specification that adds the provider name as it appears in the Client Center to MARC records, you can expect to see some change records when you get your MARC records after March 10.
• If your library uses a third-party service (such as SFX, EBSCO A-Z, etc.), custom scripts to manage data, or other non-Serials Solutions tools that require the provider name to function, you should note the change in Serials Solutions' provider name in order to retain the proper relationship/mapping between those tools.

 

Update November 2013:

Literature Online (DBIDs: CLO for US clients, CLF for International clients) will be transitioning to a brand new interface.

Key items to note are:

• You will continue to have access to Literature Online on its legacy platform through the first half of 2014 so you can complete any work required on your end before we turn off the legacy platform. ProQuest will alert you prior to the dual access period end date and the legacy platform switch off.

• The anticipated launch date for the new interface is November 20, 2013.

• This development work does not constitute the migration of Literature Online to the ProQuest platform. In order to support Literature Online’s unique content and specialist functionality, it remains on a customized platform. However, there are greater opportunities for interoperability with other platforms in the future.
•  
• Literature Online will have a new URL. All of your institution’s customization options – such as links to JSTOR collections, the MLA IB or EEBO – will be carried through to the new Literature Online automatically. Customers who wish to transition to the new interface before the legacy platform is switched off will have to actively migrate to the new URL. Once legacy Literature Online is switched off, the old URL will auto-redirect to the new one. Customers will not need to update durable URLs and/or MARC records.
