360 KB: Monograph databases from Oxford University Press: Database URL Domain Change -- September 2022

What is happening to the URL linking syntax of monograph databases from Oxford University Press?

Oxford University Press is transferring some of their monograph products to their Oxford Academic platform.

Therefore, we will be changing the database-level linking syntax in the Knowledgebase. The content of the databases will remain the same.

This change will start to take effect on September, 2022 and continue as long as needed while the provider update the titles lists:

Collection Name Before September 2022 After September 2022
Oxford Handbooks Online https://www.oxfordhandbooks.com/ https://academic.oup.com/
Very Short Introductions https://www.veryshortintroductions.com/ https://academic.oup.com/
Oxford Medicine Online https://oxfordmedicine.com/ https://academic.oup.com/
Oxford Clinical Psychology https://www.oxfordclinicalpsych.com/ https://academic.oup.com/
AMA Manual of Style https://www.amamanualofstyle.com/ https://academic.oup.com/
Oxford Scholarship Online https://oxford.universitypressscholarship.com/ https://academic.oup.com/
University Press Scholarship Online https://oxford.universitypressscholarship.com/ https://academic.oup.com/

See the full list of affected databases here.

Actions you may need to take:

  • Make sure that either https://academic.oup.com or *oup.com is included in your proxy configuration before September, 2022.
  • If you are a 360 MARC Updates client and have requested the custom specification that adds direct URLs to MARC records, you can expect to see some change records when you get your MARC records after September, 2022.
