360 KB: NII-ELS Databases: Titles Will Be Removed -- April, 2017

What is happening to the NII-ELS databases?

Update (September 21, 2017): The change date have been delayed to December 29, 2018 to provide our clients with additional time to make the necessary changes.

ProQuest currently has title-level information for the CiNii databases available from the provider National Institute of Informatics in the Knowledgebase. The provider has changed CiNii databases to index-only databases and there is no full-text content included in them.

In order to maintain accurate and authoritative provider metadata (based on the Knowledgebase collection policy), all titles will be removed from CiNii databases in the Knowledgebase on December 29, 2017. The databases will become zero-titles databases.

This is the list of affected databases:

    Database Code Database Name
    RYH CiNii Complete
    26S CiNii Complete(english)
    -YG CiNii: External Links (外部リンク)
    RYP CiNii: Institutional Package
    RYQ CiNii: IP-OA Titles
    RYR CiNii: Open Access Journals
-YF CiNii: Open Access/External Links (オープンアクセス|外部リンク)
    -YH CiNii: Paid/Open Access/External Links (有料|オープンアクセス|外部リンク)
RYV CiNii: Pay Per View - Institutional Package -Open Access Titles
RYT CiNii: Pay Per View - Institutional Package Titles
RYZ CiNii: Pay Per View - Open Access Titles
RYS CiNii: Pay Per View Titles

This means that these databases (and their titles) will not be available to your patrons who use the E-Journal Portal or 360 Link, and you won't receive MARC updates for these databases. However, the databases will still be available for 360 Search, 360 Counter, 360 Resource Manager, Intota, and the Summon™ service.

Actions you may need to take:

    • If you are a 360 Resource Manager, 360 Counter, or Intota client, you may need to make some changes to your account settings before December 29, 2017:
      • Intota users click here.
      • Client Center users click here.
