360 KB: Oxford University Press:BIBSAM:Journals from Oxford University Press: Database Name Changes -- March 2016

    • Product: 360 KB

What is happening to the name of databases Oxford University Press:BIBSAM:Journals (excluding new titles 2015):2015 and Oxford University Press:BIBSAM:Journals (including new titles 2015):2015?

The databases Oxford University Press:BIBSAM:Journals (excluding new titles 2015):2015 and Oxford University Press:BIBSAM:Journals (including new titles 2015):2015 from the provider Oxford University Press are named incorrectly.

Therefore, we will be changing the database names in the Knowledgebase. The content of the databases, and the database IDs, will remain the same.

These changes will take effect on March 2, 2016:

    Before Mar. 2, 2016:

Oxford University Press:BIBSAM:Journals (excluding new titles 2015):2015 (DBID DPORF)
Oxford University Press:BIBSAM:Journals (including new titles 2015):2015 (DBID DPPUQ)

    After Mar. 2, 2016:

Oxford University Press:BIBSAM:Journals (excluding new titles 2015 and 2016):2015-2016 (DBID DPORF)
Oxford University Press:BIBSAM:Journals (including new titles 2015 and 2016):2015-2106 (DBID DPPUQ)

Actions you may need to take:

    • If you are a 360 MARC Updates client and have requested the custom specification that adds the database name as it appears in the Client Center/Intota to MARC records, you can expect to see some change records when you get your MARC records after Mar. 2, 2016.
    • If your library uses a third-party service (such as SFX, EBSCO A-Z, etc.), custom scripts to manage data, or other non-ProQuest tools that require the database name to function, you should note the change in ProQuest's database name in order to retain the proper relationship/mapping between those tools.
