360 KB: Open Journal Systems (OJS) Database: No Longer Being Updated -- December 2016

What is happening to the database Open Journal Systems (OJS)?

ProQuest currently has title-level information for the Open Journal Systems (OJS) database from Public Knowledge Project in the Knowledgebase. However, they can no longer provide us updates for this collection.

In order to maintain accurate and authoritative provider metadata (based on our Knowledgebase collection policy), the database is now hidden in the Knowledgebase. Libraries that currently subscribe to the database will continue to have access to this database. However if your library is not already subscribed, you will not be able to view this database in the Knowledgebase. (NOTE: The database code for this database is KWQ.)

Please note that another database, Directory of Open Access Journals, is available in 360 KB, and it contains OJS journals that are 100-percent open-access. However, it is important to note that it does not include OJS titles with limited or spotty open access (for example, embargo periods, breaks in coverage, and so on).

Though we can no longer update this collection, at this time we will be leaving current titles for the Open Journal Systems (OJS) in the Knowledgebase. So, while you may continue to track this database as part of your collection, any title removals, URL changes, date changes, etc., will need to be made manually.

Should this situation change in the future, this answer will be updated accordingly.
