360 KB: Women's Magazine databases from ProQuest: Database Name Changes -- May 2017

What is happening to the name of databases Women's Magazine Archive Collection I and Women's Magazine Archive Collection II?

The databases Women's Magazine Archive Collection I (DBID: ADXWZ) and Women's Magazine Archive Collection II (DBID: BKFMC) from the provider ProQuest are named incorrectly.

Therefore, we will be changing the database names in the Knowledgebase. The database IDs will remain the same, however please note that the content of the Women's Magazine Archive Collection I (DBID: ADXWZ) has already been updated to better match the title list for this collection.

This change will take effect on May 15, 2017:

    • Before May 15: Women's Magazine Archive Collection I and Women's Magazine Archive Collection II
    • After May 15: Women's Magazine I and Women's Magazine II

If you have both of the Women's Magazine modules from ProQuest, please select both databases to ensure full title coverage.

Actions you may need to take:

    • If you are a 360 MARC Updates client and have requested the custom specification that adds the database name as it appears in the Client Center/Intota to MARC records, you can expect to see some change records when you get your MARC records after May 15.
    • If your library uses a third-party service (such as EBSCO A-Z, etc.), custom scripts to manage data, or other non-ProQuest tools that require the database name to function, you should note the change in ProQuest's database name in order to retain the proper relationship/mapping between those tools.
