360 KB: Databases from provider SPIE: Title-Level Linking change to Secure Protocol (HTTPS) -- October, 2017

What is happening to the URL linking syntax of SPIE databases?

The provider SPIE has changed the title-level linking to HTTP secure (HTTPS) for databases SPIE Conference Proceedings by volume, dbid FO0 and SPIE Digital Library (Proceedings Series), dbid R.2.

Therefore, we will be changing the title-level linking from HTTP to HTTPS in the Knowledgebase on October 13, 2017. The content of SPIE databases will remain the same.

This change will take effect in October 13, 2017:

    Before October 13, 2017: http://proceedings.spiedigitallibrary.org
    After October 13, 2017: https://www.spiedigitallibrary.org

Actions you may need to take:

    • Make sure that either https://www.spiedigitallibrary.org or *.spiedigitallibrary.org is included in your proxy configuration before October 13, 2017.
    • If you are a 360 MARC Updates client and have requested the custom specification that adds direct URLs to MARC records, you can expect to see some change records when you get your MARC records after October 13, 2017.
