360 KB: National Academies Press Databases Update -- March 2021

What is happening to the databases of National Academies Press?

ProQuest currently has title-level information for the databases National Academies Press Free eBooks and National Academies Press Paid Publications from the provider National Academies Press in the Knowledgebase. The databases are being combined into a single database National Academies Press.

The database National Academies Press Paid Publications is changing name to National Academies Press effective March 16, 2021. (NOTE: The database code for this database is RQV).

The database National Academies Press Free eBooks is no longer being updated. In order to maintain accurate and authoritative provider metadata (based on our Knowledgebase collection policy), all titles will be removed from the database and the database will be hidden in the Knowledgebase on March 16, 2021. The database will become a zero-titles database, and no future subscriptions will be possible. (NOTE: The database code for this database is N87).

The combined database includes titles with restricted full text content, as well as titles for which PDF downloads are available. Customers should verify that the newly revised target is activated in their registration systems.

Many of the approximately 10,000 books available at https://www.nap.edu/ lack the necessary rights for inclusion in our Delivery Products. Thus, the newly updated database includes around 5000 titles.
