360 KB: SAGE Research Methods Cases Database: Partial Titles Will Be Removed -- June 2017

What is happening to the database SAGE Research Methods Cases?

ProQuest currently has title-level information from provider SAGE Publications for the databases SAGE Research Methods Cases Part 1 and SAGE Research Methods Cases Part 2 in the Knowledgebase represented as one collection named SAGE Research Methods Cases (DBID: Q9~). The provider has notified us that these are two separately sold collections and should be represented as such in our knowledgebase.

In order to maintain accurate and authoritative provider metadata (based on the Knowledgebase collection policy), titles from SAGE Research Methods Cases Part 2 will be removed from SAGE Research Methods Cases database (DBID: Q9~) in the Knowledgebase on June 26. This database will be renamed SAGE Research Methods Cases Part 1 and the Part 1 content will remain unchanged.

A new database, SAGE Research Methods Cases Part 2 has been created in the database as a separate collection as SAGE Publications requested. (NOTE: The database code for this database is AAWXY.)

This means that after June 26, a subset of titles from database Q9~ will not be available to your patrons who use the E-Journal Portal or 360 Link without subscribing to SAGE Research Methods Cases Part 2 as well. Each database will continue to receive MARC record updates and the databases will still be available for 360 Search, 360 Counter, 360 Resource Manager, Intota, and the Summon™ service.

Actions you may need to take:

    • If you are a 360 Resource Manager, 360 Counter, or Intota client, you may need to make some changes to your account settings before June 26:
      • Intota users click here.
      • Client Center users click here.
