360 KB: Wiley-Blackwell Open Access Collection Database: Titles Will Be Removed -- Oct. 2015

    • Product: 360 KB

What is happening to the Wiley-Blackwell Open Access Collection database?

ProQuest has learned that we currently have duplicate Wiley-Blackwell databases in the 360 KB Knowledgebase.  The duplicate databases are Wiley-Blackwell Open Access Titles database (database code 24P) and Wiley-Blackwell Open Access Collection database (database code LC7.)

We have learned from Wiley-Blackwell that the Wiley-Blackwell Open Access Titles database (database code 24P) is the correct and provider-supported version of this collection.  Therefore, in order to maintain accurate and authoritative provider metadata (based on our Knowledgebase collection policy), the Wiley-Blackwell Open Access Collection database (database code LC7) will be retired.  All titles will be removed from this database and it will be hidden in the Knowledgebase on October 14, 2015. The database will become a zero-titles database, and no future subscriptions will be possible.

Current subscribers to the Wiley-Blackwell Open Access Collection database (database code LC7) should instead subscribe to the Wiley-Blackwell Open Access Titles database (database code 24P) in order to get access to this collection.

This change will take effect on October 14th:

Before October 14, 2015: Wiley-Blackwell Open Access Collection (db code LC7)

After October 14, 2015: Wiley-Blackwell Open Access Titles, (db code 24P)
