360 Consortium Edition: Consortium Account User Permissions

    • Product: 360 Consortium Edition

How do we control which Client Center accounts (users) are permitted to share consortium resources, or to accept inherited resources from the consortium?

An account administrator* can select whether specific accounts are permitted to control inheritance of each type of object that can be inherited (such as databases, licenses, contacts, and so forth). Similarly, the administrator can select whether accounts are allowed to control sharing of such objects by member libraries. The default setting is that accounts cannot edit or even view the inheritance and sharing options, so the administrator will need to turn this on for all accounts that need the ability to affect sharing and inheriting.
On the Account Details page, select the appropriate detail (for example, Sharing Permissions for a Consortium manager, or Inheritance Permissions for a member library), then click Edit:
Account Details - Consortial Sharing Permissions
Choose whether you want the account user to be able to View, View/Edit, or not even see the inheritance or sharing elements (None).
    * An "account administrator" is any account with View/Edit privileges in the 360 Core Permissions > Library Account setting. Account administrators can change sharing and inheritance permissions for a library's accounts.
