    Client Center: Title Metadata Page

    • Product: 360 Core Client Center

What do the fields mean on the Title Metadata screen in the Client Center?

The Title Metadata page allows you to review information related to your SSID, ISSN, Type of holding, title, publisher, etc. Please review the table below for descriptions and definitions of the fields found on the Title Metadata page.
Title metadata is not always available for non-normalized titles.
    Title Metadata
Identification Definition Location in Serials Solutions
Serials Solutions ID (SSID) The SSID for a title is either the SSJ or the SSIB (see below). Client Center Home > e-Catalog Title Search Results > Title Metadata (labeled "Serials Solutions ID"; however, if a title in a database does not have an SSJ, then the SSID will not appear in the Client Center.)
    SSJ

    sometimes called "Authority-Level Title ID"
The SSJ is the identifier for normalized titles. Normalized titles are titles associated with an "authority title" in the 360 KB knowledgebase.

Many different combinations of titles and standardized identifiers (ISSN or ISBN) can be associated with a single SSJ, if -- in reality -- they are the same resource.

The ISSN (International Standard Serial Number) is a unique eight-digit number used to identify a journal (print or electronic publication). Journals published in both print and electronic formats have a ISSN and eISSN number.
