360 Core: Split Coverage Dates for Database or Title

    • Product: 360 Core Client Center

How do I add split coverage dates to a database or title?

If you need to add split coverage dates (more than one date range) to a database or a journal title, or any other special instruction that does not fit in the date fields provided on the Database Details or Title Details page, you may use the Public Notes field to indicate that information.

If the title represents something not in the KB (such as a print resource), you can add a separate title entry for each date range in a library-managed holdings database (see Adding Individual Titles to Your Library-Specific Holdings Database). For example:

    • Sociology of health & illness 0141-9889 1979-1996

    • Sociology of health & illness 0141-9889 2006-present

As long as a date is present in the OpenURL query string, only one link will appear on your 360 Link results page. If no date is included, both links appear and your patrons will see both date ranges.
