360 Resource Manager: Perpetual Access Information for CLOCKSS and Portico

    • Product: 360 Resource Manager

How can we use 360 Resource Manager to track titles for which we have negotiated perpetual access?

If the content is no longer available from the publisher or other source:
Serials Solutions has CLOCKSS and Portico databases which contain triggered content. If you rely on these services for content that is no longer provided by the vendor from which you licensed the content, activate the title in CLOCKSS or Portico.
If your library has terminated your license to content but has perpetual access:
Serials Solutions will continue to have the title listed in the original database if it is still being offered by the provider. You can customize the dates as needed to reflect your holdings. You can use a custom status or note at the database or title level if you want to indicate the access is a result of a perpetual-access agreement.
The workflow in 360 Resource Manager is up to you, especially if you want to track titles for which you are eligible for perpetual access, but for which you have a current license. If you want to track databases/titles for which you have negotiated perpetual access if needed in the future, you can use Resource Status, Notes, Collections, or Licenses.
