Aleph 22: How to prevent popup box "You are going to Print %d documents with no option to stop the process" when printing via print daemon?
- Article Type: General
- Product: Aleph
- Product Version: 22
Problem Symptoms:
The print daemon is running on a dedicated workstation.
For printing of the overdue notice the program should run unattended.
However with more than a few documents to be printed, the system pops up a dialog box asking for a confirmation "Do you really want to print xx documents, this process can not be stopped".
We need to login into the system, and click "yes" to print the notices.
How can I prevent this dialog box?
Cause:
Regression
Resolution:
The print daemon can run unattended without dialog with rep_change #86 included in Service Pack 22.0.2
Fix Number: 000086
Description: Print Daemon - When the 'PreviewLimit' parameter is exceeded, the Print Daemon requires a confirmation in order to proceed.
Solution: It has been corrected: now the Print Daemon doesn't require a confirmation and can run unattended.
Please install the Service Pack 22.0.2 and update the ./alephcom/bin/printd.exe to run the print daemon unattended.
