"Util SP" is a mechanism to automatically download and install the latest DigiTool 3 Service Pack.
 
Note: If you did not install SP 19 - DGTL-3.1-ServicePack-1-1089.tar.gz  you will 
need to install util_sp.tar manually in order to continue installing Service Packs. Start from Step 1.

Sites already on SP 19 or SP 20 should start from Step 4 -- the mechanism is in the version.

How to install the Util SP mechanism for SP 18 and earlier Service Pack levels.


1) Copy the file util_sp.tar (located on the doc portal) to your $dtl_proc directory as user dtl.
 
2) Run the following commands:
 
cd $dtl_proc
tar -xvf util_sp.tar
dlib <library name>
 
3) The "util sp" menu is now ready for use with the following command:
 
util sp

4) Run the following commands:

dlib <library name>
util sp
1  (Prepare/Update Environment)
1  (Parameters setting)
Type  ftp.exlibris.co.il (FTP server for SP download)
Press the “ENTER” key until you receive the message, “Configuration has changed, do you want to save it?[y/N].” Enter Y.
