    “Year to year” in OPAC search produces parsing error

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 21

    Desired Outcome Goal:
    Performing a "Year to year"-search using the certain year fields on the extended search page produces a parsing error, with the year variables jumping in to other fields. How to avoid this?

    Procedure:
    The "Year to year" search is not setup correctly. Instead of setting in $alephe_root/www_f_lng/find-a-xxx01 ...
    <input type="hidden" size=4 name=find_code value="WPY">
    <input size=4 name=request value="$0600">
    <input type="hidden" size=4 name=request_op value="->">
    &nbsp;to&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
    <input size=4 name=request value="$0600"><br>
    ... use $alephe_root/www_f_lng/find-include-filter for the "Year to year" search.

    Currently there is the standard index code WYR in this table and not your index code WPY.

    Additional Information

    We recommend to use the standard index code WYR generally because this is hardcoded in some tables and it might have an influence on the search performance to use another index code. Please see also knowledge base entry 16384-42081, Tips & Advice No.
