ADM file_list - Do these tables belong there?

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 18.01

    Description:
Do z07, z07a, z13 and z970 need to be in the adm file_list?

What is z59 for? It's in ./a18_1/alephm/sql_tab but not in any usm file_lists, nor in any ./a18_1/aleph/tab/file_list.*. It's not in v18 Oracle documentation.

    Resolution:
The z13 is the short doc table. The z970 is the keyword synonyms table. z07 is the indexing request table. z07a is for z0102 processing.

You do not normally need to have a z970 or z07a table in the ADM library.

Generally, we do not recommend using the z13 in the ADM library. See KB 5288. But you may get errors in the pc_server log if it is absent. For this reason, we suggest keeping it in the file_list.

If you build indexes in the adm library -- which most sites do not --, then you will need to run ue_01 in the ADM library. See KB's 4107 and 8192-2829 for details. If you don't have the z07 defined for an ADM library (or any library), you will get errors in the pc_server log.

As noted in KB 8192-2839: "In 14.2 the z59 is the cataloger profile. Not in use in version 16-up."
