    AIK: no confirmation that demo library is working properly

    Problem Symptoms:
    The Aleph Installation Kit (AIK) doesn't include any check to confirm that the demo library is working properly.

    Cause:
    Step missing from AIK.

    Resolution:
    The following has been added to Chapter 3, Section 6 ("Post-Installation Tasks"):

    Confirm That v21 Demo Libraries Are Working Properly

    The v21 AIK loads USMnn, MABnn,or UNInn tables. You need to confirm that these demo libraries are working properly....

    Copy the /exlibris/aleph/a21_1/aleph/pc_exe/gui500.exe from your server and install it on your pc.

    Change the USMnn (or MABnn or UNInn) lines in the ./Alephcom/tab/library.ini to your server and pc_server port.

    Log in to USM01 (or MAB01 or UNInn) with the GUI catalog.exe client using username: master/ password: master .

    Search using Find/Browse. Select/display several titles.

    Check with:

    s+ usm01 [mab01} [uni01]
    SQL> select count(*) from z00;
    [count should be > 0]

    s+ usm50 [mab50] [uni50]
    SQL> select count(*) from z30;
    [count should be > 0]
