AIK: Cannot find DB Source description file / generated by executing - sdbdesc

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20

    Description:
I set my mount points to be /exlibris and /exlibris1

However, now I get a message saying:

WARNING: Cannot find DB Source description file
WARNING: It can be generated by executing - sdbdesc.sh util on the source db server

Is this a file I have to run on the db server, if so where is it located? Please note that this is a new Aleph20 installation and no previous versions of the Aleph software or databases exist on this machine.

    Resolution:
The ikit_6_3 step is build for comparing between source and target databases. You need to run sdbdesc.sh util on the *Source* db server first, and then run the kit step.

If you only want to add data files you need to: continue[Y] - will prompt you for values.
And then to enter values. In one case the file src_lis was in /tmp when it was not supposed to be there."
