    Ambiguous headings, display

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 18.01

    Problem Symptoms:
Ambiguous headings are differentiated in the AUT database by adding a specific identifier in subfield 9, e.g.
    1001 $$a Chatwin, Bruce$$9123456
    and
    1001 $$a Chatwin, Bruce [without subfield 9]

However it?€™s not possible to differentiate in the headings list although there is an according entry in xxx01/tab/edit_field.lng:
    1 # 1#### C -wc2 .
    2 a A ^
    2 9 A ^

When viewing the index list both entries appear in one line.

    Cause:
    Configuration

    Resolution:
In xxx01/tab/edit_field.eng the display for the ACC headings code (line identifier "c") has to be the heading code itself and not the field code. Change
    1 # 1#### C -wc2
    to
    1 # PER C -wc2
    and restart the PC server
