CLN index disappears on browse reindexing

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 18.01

    Description:
Recently we reindexed our browse index using parallel indexing.

The index jobs run were p_manage_102, p_manage_02, p_manage_17, p_manage_35, and p_manage_15. All jobs appeared to finish with no errors reported in the logs. However, the CLN index is missing. If you save the individual records they *will* show up in the index.

    Resolution:
As described in KB 8192-10588, the following lines are needed in (the parallel library's) tab_expand for this to work:
    ACC expand_doc_bib_hol [or expand_doc_bib_hol_usm]
    ACC expand_doc_bib_852_title

These lines were present in both the ABC01 and ABC04 $data_tab, but the BIB CLN01 field was not being generated because the library_relation file had only these lines for the ABC04 parallel library:

    BIB ABC50 ABC01 ABC04 ABC30 ABC20
    BIB ABC60 ABC01 ABC04 ABC30
    PAS ABC50 ABC01 ABC02 ABC03 ABC04 ABC10 ABC30 ABC60 PWD50 EXT01
    PID ABC04 ABC01

These two additional lines were necessary in order for expand_doc_bib_hol to make the connection from ABC04 to ABC60:

    ADM ABC04 ABC50
    HOL ABC04 ABC60
