Cannot run version check from within GUI

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 18.01

    Description:
When I try to run version check (under the "ALEPH" menu option in the GUI), I get the message "Selected version directory does not exist), and the "update version" window has the following information in the "Place on the server" field: "$aleph_dev/aleph/pc_exe/version".

After clicking on "OK", I tried to type over the "Place on the server" field, but the GUI doesn't allow me to do so (it seems to be a read-only field).

I couldn't find a .ini file where I could change this param.

Does this mean I have to create this directory on the server (and place future files in there)?

    Resolution:
The root directory for managing version control is defined in alephcom.ini on the local PC. This is located in ..\alephcom\tab

The specific parameter is Type in the [VersionControl] section. If absent, the system defaults to the directory $aleph_dev/aleph/pc_exe/version
