Course reserve hold does not block renewal

Description:
We are experiencing instances in which a request hold on an item does not prevent that item from being renewed. These are holds, not recalls. We have placed several holds on books that need to be placed on the reserve shelf, but these have been slipping though as renewals. An example: item 0199602351272, Amos by Shalom M. Paul. The patron who has checked it out has this barcode ID: 00017016300. The loan screen shows that the item was requested; nevertheless, the item was wrongly renewed on 02/02/2007.

Resolution:
Adding this to the xxx50 tab_check_circ resolved the problem:
