    Delete field 260$$b according to specific field content

    Desired Outcome Goal:
    How can I delete field 260$$b when it contains text “NetLibrary”?

    Procedure:
    *** Configuration ***

    xxx01/tab/tab_fix
    260 fix_doc_do_file_08 260_fix

    xxx01/tab/import/260_fix [New table, you may use generic_fix from USM01/tab/import as template]

    Restart PC server

    *** End Configuration ***

    *** Process ***
    1. Create a file which contains the affected records using e.g. "Retrieve Catalog Records (ret-01)"
    2. For the output of 1. run "Download Machine-Readable Records (print-03)" and select only field 260
    3. Run "Load ALEPH Sequential MARC Records (manage-18)" with options
    • Procedure to run: Update current records in the database
    • If updating current records: Replace fields within a record
    • Fix routine: 260
