    Display of combined characters in Aleph GUI

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20

    Desired Outcome Goal:
    Though decomposed diacritics {such as Combining Diacritical Marks (U+0300 - U+36F) and combined Hebrew and Arabic characters} display in combination with the character they modify in the OPAC, they do not do so in the GUI: a decomposed diacritic displays separately from the character it modifies. How to change?

    Procedure:
    Add the following entry to .\alephcom\tab\alephcom.ini:

    [Main]
    CombinedCharSupported=Y

    Additional Information

    With rep_changes 3019 and 3053 in Aleph 20 the display of combined characters in the GUI was enabled.
