    Is there a way to create a macro or assign a function key in the Cataloging Gui to insert text?

    Resolution:
    There is no mechanism in any of the Aleph GUIs to create a macro and assign it to a function key. There are already some shortcut keys, but this is quite a different concept. A number of sites are using macro software, such as MacroExpress. This appears to work with their Aleph installations, but it is not something that we provide advice or support for directly. The ALEPH-NA mailing list might be your best source for information on this question.
