How/why was it created?

Answer

The GIFT-DEFAULT budget is generated by the system in the case of an order with:
- Method of acquisition = gift

Z68-METHOD-OF-AQUISITION = "G"

- the estimated price = 0.00

Z68-E-PRICE = 0.00

- the budget is blank

Additional Information

In order not to have all gifts in the library system assigned to budget 'GIFT-DEFAULT' it might be considered to create e.g. annual budgets for gifts, such as GIFT-2012, GIFT-2013 and assign them using the 'Encumber' functionality.
This could be useful in large systems with many gifts to avoid performance problems and easier creation of statistics for gifts.
