GUI Circ --Loan --Open Hours: "The day 00 is invalid"; specific vs general

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20

    Description:
When attempting to use the 'Open Hours' utility in the Circ GUI, on applying the changes we are getting this message:

    The day 00 is invalid

There are indeed 00 values which stand for Sunday in tab17. Should these be changed to 07?

Is there some file that needs to be modified in order for the 'Open Hours' utility to function correctly?

    Resolution:
There are two tabs on the Open Hours screen: "Weekly Schedule" and "Exceptions".

The days "Sunday", etc., are grayed out and can not be edited on the Weekly Schedule tab. So I assume you are on the Exceptions tab.

The "Day" that you enter in on this tab is not the day of the week but, rather, the day of the month. Though "00" is legitimate as a day of the week it is *not* legitimate as a day of the month.

Also, the entries were in the wrong order (more specific after more general). In reading the tables the Aleph programs usually use the first valid entry they encounter. If a more general entry precedes the more specific, the latter will not be read.
