    How to populate z30_order_number

    • Article Type: General

    Description:
    In the reply to KB 16384-8818, Jerry said "The ./acq/update_orders_item_status program requires that the item have a z30_order_number which matches the z68_order_number of the order."

    When I open an item record, I see no place where the Z30_order_number may be input or seen. How do I add this to the item record form? And how can I check to make sure that the automatic creation of HOL and ITEM is connecting to the order record and adding the Z30_order_number to the ITEM?

    Resolution:
    In creating an order, when you check Order Type "Monograph", a checkbox "Create Item Records" appears on tab 4 ("Quantity and Price") of the Order form.

    When the order is created with this checkbox checked, the item record which is generated contains the order number.

    Note: If this checkbox doesn't appear checked automatically, you can make it do so by setting the tab100 variable CREATE-ITM-FORM-ORDER-M to "Y".

    {Note: As stated in KB 16384-8818, the solution was to not check the "Create Item Records" checkbox on the order form, but to, instead, copy the order number into the appropriate field in the (oclc_server-created) item record.}
