ILL2 - Why do borrowing requests contain 2 format fields?
- Article Type: General
- Product: Aleph
- Product Version: 18.01
Description:
Why do borrowing requests (serial or non-serial) contain 2 formats fields, one denoting actual format (mongraph/serial/other) and another denoting format UK (Unknown)? For example:
592 $$a SE $$b Serial
592 $$a UK $$b Unknown format
Resolution:
592 fields are created as defined in ill_format_type. The table has a line for unknown format:
592 UK Unknown format 245## EXIST
To see only one (relevant) format, you can remove or change this line. For example, you can change ./LIB40/tab/ill_format_type so that the 592 UK Unknown Format will only display if there is an invalid format specified in the LDR:
592 UK Unknown format LDR F06-01 N-EQUAL [a,c,d,e,f,g,i,j,k,m,o,p,r,s,t]
