    Import via z39.50 - Umlaut ö not displayed correctly in MAB environment

    Problem Symptoms:
    When searching in a Z39.50 MAB environment with character code MAB-UTF8 all characters are displayed correctly except the umlaut. The umlaut is not displayed and a result looks like e.g. "K nigin" instead of "Königin"

    Cause:

    Resolution:
    rep_change 2542:

    Description: When searching, using the z39.50 protocol, in a MAB database that returns the data with utf8 encoding, the letter o with umlaut is corrupted.
     
    Solution: This has been corrected.

    Implementation Notes:
     
    When searching, by using the z39.50 protocol, in a MAB database, set the following in the base configuration file. For example: ./alephe/gate/mabbaseutf8.conf:
     
    Z58-IN-RECORD-TYPE MAB
    Z58-IN-RECORD-CREATE vir_z00_z39_mabutf
    Z58-IN-RECORD-CHAR-CONV
