Invalid order status not checked

Question

Why is an invalid order status added manually in Acquisitions module not checked. Typing a wrong value by mistake does not result in any warning.

Answer

The system deliberately does not check the validity of order statuses, to maintain its flexibility and enable customers to define order statuses that match their needs.

Additional Information

Customers can enter customer-specific order statuses, which can be later searched (with the order search mechanism) or fetched by batch processes for various reports and statistics.
