    Description:
Is it possible to get a count for the analytical titles in a library?
Some of our libraries would like to retrieve the number of titles in each collection for reporting statistics.

Is there a way to obtain this?

    Resolution:
You can use p_ret_01 to create a file (let's call it "ret_01_out") with the rec-keys of bib records containing a field LKR with subfield 'a' ANA.

If you want to do it for just a particular library, you could include OWN or PST or LOC as an additional field to search on, with the OWN code or PST or LOC subfield 'b' sublibrary code. (Note: I you do the PST or LOC, you will need to include the relevant expands under the label "RET" in the xxx01 tab_expand.)

Then, once you have this output file, you can do this to get a count of records:

    > wc -l ret_01_out
