Is tab03 necessary in ALEPH 16.02?

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 16.02

    Description:
On our test server, using util f/1/13 to index a record, I got the followings errors:
    Load: /aleph/aleph/u16_1/utf_files/aleph/aleph/u16_1/cun01/tab/tab03
    Error: Load: /aleph/aleph/u16_1/utf_files/aleph/aleph/u16_1/cun01/tab/tab03

Is tab03 necessary? It doesn't exist in the ./usm01/tab/ .

    Resolution:
tab03 defines words to drop from search query and indexing.

In version 16.02 tab03 is used in two situations:

    1. In z39.50 searching (which looks for the table in the ./ext01/tab/ directory); and

    2. For indexing purposes, for the expand_doc_acronym_title (which looks for it in the ./xxxnn/tab/ directory). In this case, you should copy tab03 from the ext01 $data_tab directory to the $data_tab directory of the bib library.

Note: tab03 is in the /exlibris/aleph/a16_1/aleph/headers/libnn/tab/ directory.

    Additional Information
