    Is the UNION-VIEW set-up REQUIRED for v19 course reserves?

    Description:
    The documentation is ambiguous about the Union View feature for course reserves. In order for course reserves to work at all, is it mandatory to set up all the tables to support union view?

    Resolution:
    Union View is not required for the v19 Course Reserves to work....

    Without Union View, when a title is used in multiple courses, it will appear multiple times in the Brief List, once for each course.

    With Union View, when a title is used in multiple courses, it will appear just once in the Brief List, with all the courses it is used for in the Course/Instructor column, and with the Full View showing all the courses the title is used for.

    Note: Aleph 20 Syslib Guide - Course Reading and Reserves.doc - Page 6 - 2.1.1 Application of Union View has been changed by Doc Team (to indicate that Union View is not mandatory) and loaded to the doc portal.
