    Large number of Z07s in ADM library, which are not in BIB z07

    • Article Type: General

    • Product Version: 20

    Description:
    From KBs 8192-2743 and 4107 I understand that system should generate z07s in the BIB library for all the ADM updates, even if ue_01 is not running in ADM.

    How can I explain a large number of Z07s in the ADM library, which are not in the BIB z07 or z07h? (ue_01 is not running in the ADM.)

    Is it possible that an ADM record is updated without being relevant to the linked BIB’s indexes? And can the z07s in the ADM, therefore, be deleted?

    Resolution:
    KB 4140 lists the z30 fields whose update results in a z07 indexing request being written to the bib library.

    The presence of large numbers of z07's in the ADM library which have no corresponding z07 in the bib library can be caused by ADM updates which don't trigger bib indexing or by the fact that the bib ue_01 *has been* running and has already processed these z07's. {The z07h is created (by util e/5) as part of the Parallel Indexing process only and does not normally exist.}

    KB 8192-3944 describes the handling of z07's in ADM and HOL libraries where ue_01 is not running.
