Last digit of 13-digit ISBN forced to second line in pull-down list of order rec

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 18.01

    Description:
The display of ISBN numbers in the pull-down list of the order record can't display the last digit of 13-digit ISBN numbers on the same line. The last digit shows at the beginning of the next line. It is even worse when there is something else after the number.

I have attached 2 snapshots to show the scenario. Is this something that could be fixed easily locally or is it something that Ex Libris would have to fix?

    Resolution:
The percentage of the 2 columns of the expand list is defined in the abc01 pc_tab_col.eng, entry PC_TABLE. We distribute it as 30/70:

    PC_TABLE L Code 01 030 01 C01 Expand Table Code
    PC_TABLE L Info 02 070 02 C02 Expand Table Text

    Changing it to 35/65:

    PC_TABLE L Code 01 035 01 C01 Expand Table Code
    PC_TABLE L Info 02 065 02 C02 Expand Table Text

and restarting the pc_server lets the entire 13-digit ISBN be displayed on a single line.

Note that this affects all the multi-field dropdowns in the GUI.
