    Number of titles in a collection code

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 16.02

    Description:
    How do you get the number of titles in a particular collection code from a web opac search?

    I am trying to find the total for the collection "FACPU".

    The number from the gui is 594.

    I tried Advanced Search, keyword anywhere a or e or i or o or u
    Limit by collection Faculty Publications/Archives. But that gives a total of 275.

    This request is for Public Access staff who do not use/have/know the gui

    Resolution:
    The following line in ./www_f_eng/scan-include-2-abc01 is commented out:

    <!--mf--><!-- <option value=COL $$5000-S"COL">Locatn/collectn</option>

    We see (in tab11_acc) that this z01 COL index has the LOC subfield c (collection code):

    LOC## COL c

    If you uncomment this line, you will be able to Browse on Collection code and get a count of the number of titles.
