OCLC server translating library codes with "$" at end as delimiter code

OCLC has some library codes containing the dollar sign as the last character of the code. For example, EL$ stands for El Colegio de Mexico, UV$ stands for Utah Valley State Library. When we import a record containing one of these codes, ALEPH interprets the EL$ as EL and the next subfield code becomes dollar

I would like to find a way to correct this problem at the time the record is imported from OCLC instead of relying on the cataloger to see the problem and manually correct it. Is there any way to fix this?

Resolution:
Ex Libris' answer: "Unable to change system behavior for dollar signs."

The only solution is to write a fix routine which changes "$$$" to "%$$" -- or some other agreed-upon character -- or, perhaps, "<dollar>$$", so "EL$" would become "EL<dollar>".
