Parallel indexing doesn't index call numbers

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 16.02

    Description:
I have finished the indexing jobs in the ABC07 parallel library, but testing shows that call number searches are not working.

The call number indexes (CAL, CAD, etc.) are defined as IND indexes (Direct indexes) in the abc07 tab00.eng and tab11_ind.

Checking the ABC07 Z11 with util f/4, I find that there are *no* CAx entries.

    Resolution:
As described in Step 2 of the Parallel Indexing document, the parallel library needs to have ADM, HOL, and PID relations created for it.

In this case, the ADM and HOL relations are correct, but the PID relation is not:

    it has: PID ABC07 ABC07

it should have: PID ABC07 ABC01

Note: If you have tab11_word entries which use the PST or LOC field and if you have run p_manage_01 with the above incorrect PID value, those indexes may also be not working.
If you have tab11_acc entries which use the PST or LOC field and if you have run p_manage_02 with the above incorrect PID value, those indexes may also be not working.
