Password field length limits

Is there a password field length in Aleph?

Answer

Yes.
The patron password is limited to 40 characters (Z308-VERIFICATION).
The staff user password is limited to 10 characters (Z66-USER-PASSWORD)

Additional Information

This applies to Aleph 20, 21, 22, and 23. The length has not been extended.
Note, that the limit of 40 characters for Z308-VERIFICATION is for encrypted passwords; the base password length is a maximum of 20 characters.
