    Patron has exceeded number of hold requests allowed for all item statuses."

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20

    Problem Symptoms:
    The following message appears in Primo or in the Aleph: "Patron has exceeded number of hold requests allowed for all item statuses." (Message 1175 in the ./error_eng directory.)

    Cause:
    1. For Primo, "HL-GRP check_hold_request_t" (the ADM level, status 99 line check) is specified in the ./xxx50/tab/tab_hold_request table when there is no line like the following in the ./xxx50/tab/tab16:

    XXX50 99 ## ## + 00000000 00 A 0000 0000 00000 mmm nnn 0 000 01

    2. For Aleph, "check_hold_request_t" (the ADM level, status 99 line check) is specified in the POST or CIRC section of ./xxx50/tab/tab_hold_request table when there is no line like the following in the ./xxx50/tab/tab16:

    XXX50 99 ## ## + 00000000 00 A 0000 0000 00000 mmm nnn 0 000 01

    Resolution:
    Edit the ./xxx50/tab/tab16 shown above, changing the

    "XXX50" to the local ADM library;
    "mmm", to the maximum number of loans allowed; and the
    "nnn", to the maximum number of holds.

    Then restart the www_server and pc_server to make the change take effect.
