    Patron login fails: "Error: URL did not return 200. PDS server down?"

    Problem Symptoms:
    The following message appears repeatedly in the www_server log:

    "Error: URL did not return 200. PDS server down? URL:http://xyz.primo.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com:8991/pds"

    and the patron login fails.

    Cause:
    PDS server down or otherwise inaccessible

    Resolution:
    1. Bring up the PDS server.

    2. If the PDS server *is* up, consult KB 34945 ("Unable contact the PDS server execlp No such file or directory PDS server down").
