Query showing that Oracle Statistics are on

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20

    Description:
Our v20 util a/8 shows the most tables/indexes are analyzed. Can you supply the 11g query which determines this so that I can check to see whether this statement works or not?

(We do not see any problems on our development server, so before I do this there, I would like to know the query to check to see that something was done.)

    Resolution:
This is $aleph_proc/util_a_08, which, in turn, calls $aleph_proc/util_a_08.sql. That shows you the query the system is using.

    [From site:]
I disabled the auto optimizer stats collection using the updated SQL that you provided below on our production and development servers and used util a/8 to verify that there are no longer any rows returned.
However, I suggest that you add an "exec" statement before the sql that you listed below in your updated documentation for 11G if you did not include that with the updated sql. This also may be useful in the oracle upgrade instructions so that it can be done beforehand.
