Record not removed from keyword index because of Oracle error

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20

    Problem Symptoms:
A specific word search leads to a record that was deleted and should not be searchable anymore.

    Cause:
    Oracle error

    Resolution:
The following oracle error appeared in run_e_01_word.nnnnn, immediately after updating (deleting) the specific record:
    Oracle error: io_z980_write
ORA-01654: unable to extend index XXX01.Z980_ID by 1024 in tablespace

So the word in question had just been added to the doc and should have been updated in z980, but was not because of this error. This might have caused also a wrong update of z95 for this doc.

The only way to fix this is to run "Rebuild Word Index (manage-01)", which we would recommend anyway because of these Oracle errors.
Please note that the library will be locked when p_manage_01 is started.

    Additional Information

For more information regarding the ORA error message refer to KCS article 23418.
