Records for Testing Indexing Setup Do Not Show Changes

    Description:
In xxx10 library, we made a change to "tab_filing" by commenting out the "non_numeric" program for filing routine 21 used by the direct index code "LCC" (LC Control Number). Then we used UTIL-F-1-13 (Immediate Update Single Document) to update a few existing records in xxx10. Afterwards we looked at the z11 filing text for those updated records, and found that they did not change, though util/f/1/13 did show changes in filing "OUT" after the "non_numeric" program was commented out. Also "run_e_01" logs show that the records in question got updated.

I wonder if UTIL-F-1-13 was the right tool for testing on direct indexes? Or is there some other tool that we could use for this purpose? Or the only tool that can make this change work is p_manage_05?

    Resolution:
You failed to stop/restart ue_01. You need to do that in order to make this indexing change take effect. (Though UTIL-F-1-13 may process the record with the change, when ue_01 reprocesses it, if it has not been restarted, it will process it without the change.)
