Requests Sent to OCLC MUST Have Content in the Source Field

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 18

    Description:
Why does sending a Request to OCLC without content in the Source field result in an Unfilled response?

    Resolution:
When OCLC receives a Request without content in the Source field (OCLC calls it the Verified field), the Request is automatically moved into OCLC Review status (like Aleph's "New - Staff Review" status) and an Unfilled response is received by the Aleph system. In order to proceed with the Request, it then needs to be resent to OCLC because being in the Review status at OCLC removes it from OCLC ISO processing.
